Reports circulating suggest an uncertain future for Abbey Road, with its current owners EMI looking to sell the world famous recording studios.
The studios became famous with the now timeless image of the Beatles walking across the zebra crossing outside the during the recording of their 11th studio album, Abbey Road – named by Rolling Stone magazine as the 14th greatest album of all time.
It would be a travesty if Abbey Road was allowed to be swallowed up and converted into soulless modern apartments by property developers. The studios are a national institution that can continue to inspire generations to come.
